The engine light code will give you a big clue of what's causing the accelerator pedal problem. Best way to find out what's going on engine light is to have an auto-parts store hook up a engine code reader and tell you what the code means and the problem. Most auto-part store will do this for free. The light will come on solid if the DPF goes through to many regenerations between services. Mazda are reseting the the 'oil data' which tells the ECU the oil has been changed and it resets the regeneration count back to zero. Incorrect oil and driving style/conditions will effect how often the DPF will go through a regen. The dipstick is just past F, and service indicator isnt flashing yet ( dpf light flashing), but i wanted to do it a bit early anyway. Most likely an oil dilution issue as it does not turn on the MIL/CEL and the flashing DPF light comes on by itself & without warning. Check your oil dilution level.
