Always stays on the full line. Also the majority of manufacturers consider one quart of oil burn between oil changes to be acceptable. The nice thing about the Mazda 3 if the oil level gets low it will warn you before any issues. But as others said you should be checking you level on any car between oil changes.
Harbor Freight sells these. $28 for the kit and $9 for the fluid, if my memory is correct. You plug the bottom 1 way valve into the coolant reserve tank with the engine warmed up and running. There needs to be 2-3 inches of clearance above the coolant and the top of the reservoir to draw in air and not coolant.
PURPOSE: when mazda designed and started manufacturing the skyactiv-g engine that is in all of our 3rd gen cars, they decided to use direct injection. as we all know, no fuel hits the back of the valves with this design. many manufacturers have had problems with buildup of carbon on the intake valves causing loss of power and fuel economy

These cars being direct injection have a very high pressure in the fuel rail. There's actually two fuel pumps. Main pump in the tank supplies a pressurizing pump under your hood. If one of these two pumps aren't supplying sufficient pressure you'll get low pressure fault from the sensors.
The Mazda2 5 skyactiv engine does not have any specific issues, but it can develop all the same issues as any other engine. If You do not change the fluids, mainly the oil, as needed then the engine can develop damage over time. Likewise, You want to make sure You have a clear air intake as too little or too much will make the engine run badly. Likewise bad or d***y sparkplug will make for
DBwh7od. The Skyactiv motor has hydraulic lash adjusters, so no adjustment is needed. They either work or they don't. When the time comes they are replaced. I was a mazda tech and can honestly say I wouldn't buy a mazda diesel. They are constantly coming out with recalls on the diesels to try and fix problems with the engines getting blocked up with carbon because of how much they have to limit whats coming out the exhaust for euro emissions standards, it was a daily occurrence to have a newish diesel recovered in with starting/running issues
The two main causes of P0010 in the Mazda 3 are issues with the wiring to the camshaft actuator or an issue with the actuator itself. The wiring from the solenoid to the ECM can become damaged or broken. This will throw the P0010 OBDII code. The wiring harness to the intake camshaft position sensor may also develop a poor connection.

The CX-5 really isn't a huge vehicle. People call it a SUV but it's actually a crossover (CUV). It's built on a sedan platform while a SUV is built on a truck platform. The CX-30 is considered to be a compact crossover so if you want something that's actually inbetween a Mazda 3 hatch and a CX-5, the CX-30 should be what you are looking for.
