Reaction score. 0. Sep 3, 2021. #1. Hey all, Have a 2020 6.7 with 37k miles. About 10 days ago got a check engine light with code P2459- Frequent Regen. My truck had been running a Regen about every 25 miles. As soon as one would end another would start. My driving is about half highway and half local road.
So recently in the past few weeks I have been noticing odd regen frequency. They come and go throughout the day and what it looks like is the DPF soot load is not getting above 33%? Some times it doesn’t even get above 23%. Right now, I am driving a consistent 65 and it’ll raise to 23 and then drop back down to 17 to 19.
DPF_SOOT_INF stayed at 4 (while the DPF_SOOT_OL continued to rise). At this point DPF_SOOT_PCT_CL began to fluctuate. 2019.07.13.0942.03 – RegenTest.Screenshot.FORScanLite_003 After a while DPF_SOOT_PCT_CL and DPF_SOOT_INF began to drop before reaching the mileage limit of 497.1 or the DPF_SOOT_PCT_OL of 100%. Regen began at the mileage limit.
Diesel particulate filters are an efficient means of reducing particulate emissions of diesel engines by orders of magnitude. The necessary periodical regeneration of these filter systems requires drastic changes in the engine management, notably in fuel and air path control, because the temperature levels required for regeneration are 200
P2458 – DPF regeneration duration; P2459 – DPF regeneration frequency; P2463 – DPF Restriction – Soot accumulation; P244A – DPF Pressure too low (Bank 1) How to fix the dpf problem. There are 3 solutions available to fix Jeep Grand Cherokee dpf issues and below we will discuss each option. Forced Regeneration

SLBUeuE. I have the same 1.5 diesel engine. Recently, I have noticed the car feels down on power going up hills and very much so when a dpf regen is taking place. To complicate matters about 3 weeks ago I filled it with petrol by mistake and had to get the tank drained. Coincidentally, the frequency of the dpf regens has increased.
2. get it regenned again and then avoid 6th gear, hoping for another 18 months before needing it regenned again. 3. replace the DPF with official parts – looks like this’ll be about £1,600 to sort. 4. remove the DPF – it’s a 2006 model, so I’m not sure if it actually needs it.
Middle of last week however the EML came on. Plugged in my OBD and the code same up as DPF regeneration frequency - I interpreted as regen cycle hadn't kicked in for a while. So this weekend I stuck in a bottle of Wynns DPF cleaner and did a massive burn round the M25. I mean massive - 70mph ave for 40-60 mins. RPMs hovering around 2k and above.
OK now the problem I have is I have in a Seat Toledo 2016 1.6TDI CXMA. Replaced the DPF and cant reset the DPF data stored in the ecu can anyone guide me through if vag-com can do it. I have tried using the Snap-on Verdict Edge and also phoned scan line waist of time that was. May 6, 2020 #2.
Particulate mass concentration is a crucial parameter for characterising air quality. The diesel particulate filter (DPF) is the primary technology used to limit vehicle particle emissions, but it needs periodic cleaning, a process called regeneration. This study aims to assess the impact of active DPF regeneration on the performance and emissions of Euro 5 and 6 vehicles. The study examined
